Guiding Principles
Living Our Faith
Ways we foster collaboration, service, and spiritual growth in our lives and other's
"With"
Grace Church strives to be a church partnering with our community, spending significant resources of time, talent, and treasure in our community. We recognize the dignity of every human being. We will invite those who participate in our ministries to come alongside us as friends, helping us plan and serve by utilizing their talents and insights.
"Collaborative"
We will identify existing skills and resources in our community to avoid reinventing the wheel, and partner with other churches and non-profits to realize our shared goals.
"Training"
We recognize God gives our members the talents needed for the ministries to which we are called. Therefore, we will equip them with the education and tools they need for these ministries.
"Awareness/ Discernment"
We will anticipate the changing needs of our community and therefore, we will be open to exploring new ways of ministering to others.
"Advocacy"
As a partner in our community, we aspire to join together with our neighbors in understanding and addressing systemic barriers to flourishing.
"Share Beyond Haywood County"
While we recognize a special obligation to those nearest to us, we will also share with others. The outreach budget will align its spending and social effort approximately 80% local and 20% outside Haywood County.
"Evaluation"
Annually, the Standing Committee will help Grace’s outreach ministries set goals and objectives aligned with these principles and assist them in evaluating the ministry.
