Spirituality of Giving

"They will know we are Christians by our love..."

We believe God gives us everything necessary to fulfill our ministry. We believe there is enough — stuff, food, love, goodness — for all of God’s children to receive abundant life. In our frail humanity, we can get trapped in a scarcity mentality, but the Spirit keeps inviting us to trust in God’s abundance. Join us in the freedom of trusting in God’s provision by sharing your resources of time, talent and treasures with others.

Each year Grace offers a season of Stewardship Education to help our members discern what is most important in their lives to align their time, talent, and treasure with their values. This season culminates in our annual Consecration Sunday when parish leadership thanks God for the opportunity to steward our members’ offerings and shape the parish’s ministry for the year ahead.

Giving Philosophy

We believe God is the source of all good things.

Our Church encourages proportional giving, that is deliberately offering a percentage of your income for God’s work in the world.

The parish models this by giving a portion of our pledged income each year to outreach. This year we gave 14.99%. We increase that percentage every year.

Ways to Give

  • Support the foundation of our work by making a pledge to our operating fund.
  • Consider supporting our Legacy of Grace Endowment.
  • Remember or honor a loved one or special occasion through our Memorials / Honorarium / Thanksgiving Fund.
  • Contribute to the clergy discretionary fund, which is used to meet unmet needs, often of our poorest neighbors.

Legacy of Grace Endowment

The purpose of Grace Church’s Endowment Fund is to help maintain the ministry of Grace Church for generations to come. Unlike gifts to our annual budget which are needed for day-to-day ministry, donations to the endowment are invested, and the parish may only spend a portion of the income from those investments each year.
